World Scholars Cup

The World Scholar’s Cup is an exciting global competition where students from all over the world compete in teams of three across four disciplines: Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, The Scholar’s Challenge and The Scholar’s Bowl. This CCA offers students the chance to develop critical skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving and academic knowledge in a fun and competitive environment.

Skills Developed in the World Scholar’s Cup

  • Collaborative Writing: Work together to create thoughtful, well-structured pieces on a wide range of topics.
  • Debating: Develop persuasive arguments and teamwork in a competitive setting.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Strengthen analytical skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Global Knowledge: Expand knowledge across multiple subjects, from science to history and literature.

Opportunities for Participation

This year, for the first time, BSB will be competing in a regional round of the World Scholar’s Cup, held in Bucharest in the spring of 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for students to represent the school in an international context and meet other passionate scholars from around the world.

At BSB, we believe the World Scholar’s Cup offers a unique platform to foster both intellectual growth and global connections while developing essential skills that will benefit students throughout their academic and professional futures. This addition highlights the key benefits of MUN, connecting it to the skills fostered in the World Scholar’s Cup as well.

MUN teaches us how to work with others, understand global issues, and become more engaged citizens of the world. It’s not just about winning debates, but about learning how to make a difference.
