Eligibility and Required Documents

Students must be applying for: 

· For Year 10

· For Year 12

Applications for scholarships must be received by 13:00 on Friday, 15th March 2024, via email, at admissions@britishschool.ro.

Necessary Documents

Documents required to apply:

  • Application Form 
  • Copy of Birth Certificate / ID Card / Passport
  • Most recent School Report
  • Art portfolio/Sports Achievements, if applicable
  • Any other relevant documents that might support the application
  • The essay ‘Added value of A.I. in the future’ 

    In order to be awarded the scholarship, please ensure that you have downloaded, completed and sent all the necessary documents via email, at admissions@britishschool.ro. Applications will be assessed against the eligibility criteria above.

Navigating the Application Process

 

Step 1: Complete the Registration Form online.

 

Step 2: Download and complete the Application Form

The parent/legal guardian, together with the student interested in a scholarship, complete an application form, which seeks to establish the academic history of the student, their interest in studying at the British School of Bucharest, and their academic potential. 

 

Step 3: Prepare the essay 

The essay ‘Added value of A.I. in the future’ should be completed according to the Essay Guidelines

 

Step 4: Submit the documents

The completed Application Form, along with the necessary documentary evidence and the essay, must be submitted no later than 13:00 on 15th March 2024 to the Scholarship Committee via email at admissions@britishschool.ro.

Evaluation and Decision

Testing and interviews

The Scholarship Committee reviews the applicants after testing and interviews alongside the Head of Secondary.

Confirm places

The Scholarship Committee agrees confirmed places and formally offers a place with a scholarship. Parents/Legal Guardians then sign an acknowledgement of conditions relating to the scholarship. Scholarships may be offered based on the applicant achieving certain grades in their exams in the year of entry.

Decision

The decision of the Scholarship Committee regarding the allocation of scholarship awards is final and non-negotiable.

Essential Dates

The applicants will attend the School for examinations, as follows:

16th March 2024

Year 10 & Year 12: Interview & CAT test.

23rd March 2024

Short Listed Year 10: English & Maths tests.

Short Listed Year 12: English & Maths tests & other A-Level option, if relevant.

8th April 2024 – The final results will be announced.
