Goodbye, La revedere, Adiós, Arrivederci

After a rollercoaster-like year with university applications, interviews, admissions assessments and day to day School activities, Year 13 still found in themselves the determination and ambition to be on top of their studies and get the grades needed for their plans to come true.

It was an odd year that forced our students to accommodate new ways of exploring their chosen universities. They bravely switched from offline campus visits to online fairs, one-on-one meetings with their University Guidance Counsellor to online group meetings but they managed to do so smoothly. This adaptation to such significant changes, especially in the final year, deserves all our appreciation and we congratulate our students who will now move on to pastures new.

Until August, when they receive the exam results, we won’t know the exact destinations of our students. Still, most of them are already holding offers at several universities, having turned down many more. ‘The destinations and subjects chosen vary as usual. Psychology and Economics continue to be firm favourites with our students, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy being the most common destinations. Other students will do national service in their own countries or go straight into work experience‘, said Mrs. Jo Mattingley-Nunn, our University Guidance Counsellor.

The list of current destinations for our students includes the prestigious University College London (UCL), the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and King’s College London, among others from the UK. In addition, our students have also chosen excellent destinations around Europe such as Bocconi University Milan, IED Istituto Europeo di Design Barcelona or IFA Paris.

Whatever their chosen path, we wish them the best of luck! In the meantime, let’s relive some moments from the Year 13 Graduation Ceremony and Year 12 Awards Ceremony.
