BSB University Guidance

We are very proud of the university destinations of our students at BSB. Now we are extremely excited to be able offer university guidance services to any student outside of BSB considering applications to universities in both the UK and across Europe. Our highly experienced team has over 25 years of success in guiding students to institutions throughout this region for all types of undergraduate courses.
Our approach is highly individualised, seeking to help find the best possible fit of course and location for each student. If you are interested in studying an undergraduate course taught in English at university, we offer two distinct services.

  • Advice and detailed feedback for each student on several drafts for motiva-tional letters, personal statements, admissions essays, CVs and other key documents which form part of the application process.
  • BSB can be used as a UCAS centre for UK applications, should this be necessary.
  • Liaison with your school as necessary for documents required by universities.
  • Liaison with referees for guidance and support as necessary.

Initial student meetings could be online or face-to-face via a 1-2 day school visit. The visit could provide consultation to both students and staff on elements such as provision of an overview on how the various European application systems work including the UCAS application process in the UK. We would seek to outline the range of relevant courses available that are taught in English.
During the first individual meeting, we will explore each student’s higher education expectations, specific subjects of interest, likely qualification requirements and try to outline priorities.
In individual student meetings, we will aim to prepare a personalised report with up to ten recommended universities in each likely destination country. Each university overview will include a summary of important aspects such as:

  • Location, size, reputation, general facilities, accommodation options and popularity.
  • Rankings in the various league tables.
  • Percentage of overseas students and graduate employability.
  • Choices of appropriate courses.
  • Likely entry requirements, including English Language requirements and any test preparations required for application.

Subsequent support for motivation letter and other documentation drafting during the application process would take place online or via individual correspondence with students.
BSB University Guidance for schools provides up to 5 Hours guidance and support per individual student over the course of their final two years in school. Costs depend on number of students involved but would range from 500 – 10,000 Euros, with school visit costs also covered by the school. Please be in touch with our team admissions@britishschool.ro for an initial discussion.
