Celebrating Academic Achievement at BSB: A-Level and IGCSE Results 2026

A-Level Results Day marks a significant moment for our Year 13 students: the culmination of years of learning at BSB and the beginning of a new chapter beyond the School.

We are once again incredibly proud of our Year 13 A-Level results, with an almost 100% pass rate and 35% of grades awarded at A or A*. Many of our students have secured places at some of the most prestigious universities and colleges in the UK, US and across Europe.

From BSB to universities around the world

Our students have been accepted by UK Russell Group universities including UCL, King’s College London and Durham University, as well as Vassar College, a prestigious liberal arts college in the US. Others will be heading to highly regarded universities across Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Romania.

Our students will be studying an impressive range of subjects, including Medicine, Engineering, Law, Architecture, Physics, Business, Economics, Modern Languages and Liberal Arts, alongside a wide variety of other disciplines. Their destinations and chosen areas of study reflect the different interests and ambitions of our Class of 2026 as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journeys.

Speaking about the Class of 2026 and their next steps, Philip Walters, University Guidance Counsellor, said:

‘Every student has a personal and unique application journey and it has been a privilege to support the Class of 2026 as they have explored their interests, discovered new possibilities and worked towards their goals. Whether continuing their studies in the UK, the US or across Europe, our students are embarking on exciting new chapters. We know that they will do this with measured confidence whilst guided by our BSB values. Good luck!’

Celebrating our Year 13 students

These results are the culmination of many years of hard work, dedication and commitment from our students and staff. Huge congratulations to our Year 13 students on their achievements, to our teachers for their unwavering support and dedication, to our parents for their encouragement and to the whole BSB Community for playing such an important part in their success.

As our graduates prepare for the next stage of their educational journeys, they take with them the experiences, friendships and connections they have built during their time at BSB.

Celebrating their achievements and looking ahead to their future beyond BSB, Jason Porter, Head of Secondary, said:

‘While this chapter of their time at BSB is coming to an end, their connection with the School continues. The Class of 2026 now becomes part of our growing Alumni community and we look forward to following their journeys as they continue their education around the world. Well done to all our students on their impressive grades and on their remarkable academic development in achieving the best grades for them and securing places at prestigious universities and colleges in the UK, US, Europe and globally.’

Celebrating our IGCSE results

Our students also achieved excellent IGCSE results this year, with 32% of grades awarded at A*, 49% at A*–A and 80% at A*–B. These results place BSB above the average for UK non-selective independent schools and make our performance highly competitive with UK selective grammar schools. Given BSB’s non-selective and internationally diverse student profile, together with the strong value added shown through students’ progress and attainment over time, these outcomes are especially impressive. We are exceptionally proud of our students and grateful for the support of their teachers, parents and the wider BSB Community.

A learning community that grows with every generation

Founded in 2000, BSB is today a vibrant international community of approximately 700 students aged 2–18, representing around 65 nationalities. At the heart of the School is our commitment to creating an environment where every student can learn, develop and prepare for what comes next. Each graduating class becomes part of that story, taking their experiences at BSB with them as they move on to universities and communities around the world.

In 2025, BSB was rated ‘Excellent’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) for the third consecutive inspection and became a full international member of The Heads’ Conference (HMC). BSB is also a recognised British School Overseas (BSO) and an accredited member of COBIS.
