The BSB Scholarship Programme 2026–2027: Applications Are Now Open

The British School of Bucharest is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its Scholarship Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, offering partial and full scholarships to talented students applying for Year 10 or Year 12 entry.

The programme is designed to recognise academic potential, motivation and commitment to excellence, widening access to a world-class education at one of Bucharest’s leading international and private schools.

The Road to Excellence

Under the theme The Road to Excellence, the BSB Scholarship Programme supports students who demonstrate strong academic ability, intellectual curiosity and the determination to make the most of the opportunities available at a top private school in Bucharest.

Scholarships are awarded through a competitive assessment process that considers academic performance, a written essay and supporting documentation. Successful applicants join a diverse, high-achieving community where students are encouraged to think independently, aim high and grow both academically and personally.

For Year 10 Applicants

Students entering Year 10 join a rigorous and supportive academic environment that prepares them for GCSE and IGCSE study. Teaching is challenging and engaging, with strong academic and pastoral support, while opportunities beyond the classroom encourage curiosity, resilience and personal growth.

For Year 12 Applicants

Year 12 marks the beginning of the most academically demanding stage of school life. Students engage with subjects at an advanced level, develop independence and benefit from inspirational teaching, strong guidance and enrichment opportunities that support progression to university and beyond.

A Supportive and Inclusive Community

Pastoral care is central to life at the British School of Bucharest. Students learn within a respectful and inclusive community that values well-being, belonging and personal development alongside academic achievement. This approach has contributed to BSB being consistently rated ‘excellent’ by the UK Independent School Inspectorate for both academic outcomes and personal development.

Preparing for the Future

For students entering Year 10 or Year 12, the Scholarship Programme offers more than financial support. It provides access to an educational environment that nurtures ambition, supports individual pathways and offers a clear route towards top universities in the UK and worldwide.

Academic success is celebrated, but equal value is placed on progress, confidence and independent thinking, ensuring students are well prepared for the challenges and opportunities of a global future.

How to Apply

The application process for the BSB Scholarship Programme 2026–2027 is structured to allow students and families to demonstrate academic potential, motivation and suitability for entry into Year 10 or Year 12.
