Sports Day: Give It Your All!
Sports Day 2023 at BSB was a day filled with thrilling competitions and impressive displays of athleticism. From the fun garden games of the EYFS students to the fierce battles among Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, the spirit of competition was alive. The day culminated with intense athletics and teamwork at Izvorani Stadium, where the Danube House emerged as back-to-back champions. The event showcased the values of respect, fair play, and determination that define BSB’s sporting ethos.

The Primary Palette: The Remarkable Artistic Journey of Our Young Artists
The Primary Palette art exhibition showcased the remarkable artwork of our EYFS to KS2 students, reflecting their year-long efforts and growth. From process art activities to KS1’s whimsical ‘Mad Hatter’s tea party’ and KS2’s diverse media explorations, the exhibition celebrated creativity and passion. We extend our gratitude to all attendees, teachers, and volunteers for their support.
BSB's Got Talent: Unleash Your Inner Star!
BSB’s Got Talent once again shone the spotlight on the unique talents of our students. It was an afternoon of drama, music, comedy, dance and more. The excitement didn’t end there, as the winners performed again at the Summer Fair on Saturday, 10th June. Franz, Fraser, and Kian served up an unforgettable rock performance, whilst a bright star from Primary captivated all with her stunning voice in a beautiful song.

Summer Fair: A Fun and Vibrant Celebration
The highly anticipated Summer Fair at The British School of Bucharest was a resounding success on June 10, 2023. The event marked our first gathering since the pandemic and featured cultural performances, student showcases, engaging activities, and gourmet international food stalls. The highlight was ‘Tropicasao’, a vibrant show transporting us to Havana, Cuba. We showcased talented students from the BSB’s Got Talent Competition, and the pool climbing competition added excitement.

TEDxYouth@BSB: Amplifying Youth Voices!
Looking back on the recent TEDxYouth Conference, organised for the third time by our students, they truly shone as they delivered thought-provoking speeches on a variety of subjects.
This year’s theme, ‘Simplicity in a Complex World’, unified the BSB community and welcomed speakers from across different schools. From exploring simplicity and the evolution of science to shifting perspectives and the volatile nature of greatness, they covered it all.
We are incredibly proud of their dedication to knowledge sharing and igniting new ideas. It was a truly inspiring event!
Debating Competition
The Bucharest Middle Schools Debating Competition at the British School of Bucharest was a resounding success, featuring 12 teams from local schools. Students showcased their debating skills in prepared and impromptu rounds, impressing judges with their quick thinking and argumentation. The event fostered camaraderie and provided valuable learning experiences for all participants.

Summer Concert: Melodic Marvels
Our Summer Concert was a true spectacle as we celebrated a term filled with amazing musical performances by our students and staff. The day was filled with drama and musical performances from a variety of genres and instruments.

Track Day: The Race of Innovations
The Innovation Hub Track Day showcased the creative and innovative spirit of our students as they put their self-constructed electric vehicles to the test. With speed, competition, and remarkable advancements in performance, the event demonstrated their commitment to theory and practice. The event marked a milestone in efficiency and showcased the potential of our young innovators in shaping the future.
Graduation: A Memorable Milestone
What an extraordinary day filled with celebration and achievement at the Year 13 Graduation and KS5 Awards Ceremony! Our Year 13 students tossed their caps high into the air, marking the end of a significant chapter with us. We were filled with pride as each one walked across the stage to receive their well-deserved accolades.
The excitement was tangible as we announced their inspiring future university destinations. The ceremony was further enriched by the insightful words of esteemed guest speakers. Their counsel and encouragement added a valuable dimension to the day’s proceedings.
