Customer Relationship Officer

The British School of Bucharest is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and highly organized Customer Relationship Officer to join our Administration team.︎︊︊︌︉︍︆︋​︂︆︄︅​︁︁︎︌​︈︂︇︍​︈︆︅️︊︄︈︌︊︎︂︎
This is primarily a back-office customer relations position, responsible for ensuring excellent communication and support for prospective and current families. The successful candidate will coordinate enquiries, maintain accurate records, manage customer communications, and work closely with the Admissions, Academic, Finance, and the Operations teams to deliver an exceptional parent experience.
The role also provides reception support when required, acting as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Advanced English and Romanian (spoken and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Strong written communication and professional email etiquette.
  • Experience in customer service, administration, or client relations.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Job description

Customer Relations (80–90%)

  • Manage enquiries from current and prospective parents via email, telephone, and CRM systems.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families throughout their journey with the school.
  • Coordinate with Admissions, Finance, Academic, and Operations departments to ensure timely responses to parent requests.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer enquiries and service requests.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation.
  • Handle complaints and sensitive situations professionally and escalate where appropriate.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and contribute to improving the parent experience.
  • Ensure all communications reflect the school’s professional standards.
  • Assist with admissions and enrolment administration when required.

Reception & Office Support (10–20%)

  • Welcome visitors and provide a professional first impression of the school.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and emails.
  • Assist with visitor registration and appointments.
  • Support general office administration and reception coverage during peak periods or staff absence.
