Our EAL Online School is dedicated to students both currently enrolled at BSB and students outside of BSB. This service offers programmes at different levels, tailored to individual needs and led by our team of experienced EAL and ESL teachers, who have over 20 years’ experience of delivering high-quality teaching, learning opportunities and examination preparation to students across the globe.
Our Approach
Our approach is highly personalised and offers unique features:
- Taught by BSB Teachers, all of whom are trained, qualified and experienced in the British education system at teaching EAL, ESL, IELTS and English First Language. Read the bios of our teachers to find out more.
- Subject-specific and academic language courses are constructed in consultation with our BSB subject specialist teachers.
- For students enrolled and who are scheduled to join BSB, contact is maintained with the student’s future subject teachers via the EAL Online School staff, to ensure a smooth transition and continued progress.
- Four programmes with bespoke options tailored towards individual needs as required, whether this is to support English grammar and conversation, learn subject-specific academic vocabulary or prepare for examinations such as IELTS, KET, PET or FCE, among others.
- Individual or small classes of up to 6 students.
- Flexible timetable options for scheduling lessons.

To register for our programme, please complete the application form here. You will then be redirected to a payment page to register for your first lesson, which will include an evaluation and an introduction to the course.

Steps for Enrolment
- Register and Make Payment for Assessment
To begin the process, students need to register and pay the fee of 50 EUR for the initial consultation and assessment. Once registration and payment are complete, further details about the assessment will be provided. - Assessment
The assessment consists of two components:- An online test using the Oxford Placement Test.
- A face-to-face session lasting approximately 30 minutes, during which students will complete a writing and speaking test.
- Results and Recommendations
After the assessment is completed:- The results will be sent to you in accordance with the CEFR levels (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
- A recommendation will then be made for the most appropriate course to match your needs and goals.
- Enrolment and Payment for the Programme Package
Following the recommendation, students can enrol and make payment for the selected programme package. - Re-enrolment and Continuation
Students have the option to re-enrol and continue with the programme package as they progress towards their goals. - Preparation for Exams (Optional)
For students aiming to achieve certifications, such as KET, PET, FCE and IELTS, additional preparation modules are available as part of the programme. - Course Completion
Upon completing the chosen programme, students will have successfully achieved their learning objectives.

Our Programmes

Bronze - Beginners
Designed for beginner students who may enter as a complete beginner or up to level A1 (according to the CEFR framework)
As part of the programme, students will study grammar, vocabulary and language, four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, ‘survival language’ for the classroom or for other environments, CLIL academic and subject-specific content support language.
Preparation for the Cambridge KET examinations can also be offered.

Silver - Intermediate
Designed for students who will have language competency at or around level A2 (according to the CEFR framework)
As part of the programme, students will study grammar, vocabulary and language, four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, ‘survival language’ for the classroom or for other environments, CLIL academic and subject-specific content support language.
Preparation for the Cambridge KET and / or PET examinations can also be offered.

Gold – Advanced
Designed for students who will have language competency at or above level B1 (according to the CEFR framework)
As part of the programme, students will study grammar, vocabulary and language, four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, CLIL academi and subject-specific content support language typically tailored for the IGCSE or AS and A-Level courses.
Preparation for the Cambridge PET or FCE examinations, among others, can also be offered.

IELTS
Designed for students wishing to study for and sit the IELTS examination for entrance to higher education
Although there is no minimum language level requirement for this course, it is expected that students will have had some previous learning of English and that, in consultation with the EAL Online School staff members, sufficient time can be allocated to study prior to the examination.
On the IELTS programme, students will use study materials specifically designed for the IELTS course and examination, and a variety of assessments and mock examinations will be conducted.
Within the IELTS programme, there may be the possibility for preparation for other examinations, such as the SELT or similar. Contact us to discuss this further.
Students may also be referred to the IELTS preparation service via the BSB University Guidance service.
