We have exciting updates to share with you. This half of the Spring Term has been impressive!
Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our students and our wonderful community!

World Cancer Day

On 4th February, we stood together for World Cancer Day! This global initiative is focused on raising awareness and supporting the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.
At BSB, our students and staff tried to Make a Difference by supporting children, teenagers, and young adults facing this battle. In exchange for donations, our School shared special stickers and bracelets as a symbol of unity.

 

So You Think You Can Cook? - Primary School

The ‘So You Think You Can Cook’ competition commenced with Primary pupils displaying their culinary flair, presenting an array of signature dishes, from Ramen to Pesto Pasta and vibrant Mexican cuisine, alongside delightful desserts. The day concluded with a mix of emotions, paving the way for anticipation for the following day’s culinary endeavours.

 

So You Think You Can Cook? - Secondary School

The culinary spectacle persisted in the second round of the ‘So You Think You Can Cook’ contest, with Secondary students demonstrating their gastronomic flair. From succulent steak with red onion reduction to salmon with teriyaki sauce and wasabi chips, the offerings tantalised taste buds. With anticipation building for the grand finale, excitement permeates the atmosphere as contestants gear up to showcase their skills in the BSB kitchen.

 

So You Think You Can Cook? - Finale

The grand finale saw students showcasing French cuisine mastery, with Primary and Secondary participants alike delivering dishes worthy of international acclaim. Emotions soared as winners were announced, marking the end of a spectacular competition that exceeded all expectations, leaving a lingering desire to continue exploring the culinary arts.

 

Science Fair

Exploring the realm of creativity and skill development, our students from Years 7, 8, and 9 eagerly prepared for the recent Science Fair. This event provided them with a platform to showcase their innovative projects and experiments, highlighting the pride they felt in their scientific endeavours.
The fair buzzed with excitement as visitors marvelled at the array of exhibits, each representing hours of research and dedication. It was a vibrant display of scientific curiosity and ingenuity, fostering a sense of admiration and inspiration among all attendees.

Y4 Work Showcase

Year 4 eagerly welcomed parents to an interactive afternoon showcasing their progress and learnings from the start of the year. Parents were invited to witness their children’s achievements and engage in discussions about the topics covered throughout the year. It was a heartwarming occasion that celebrated both academic growth and the supportive BSB School Community.

Crazy Hair Day

The week of 12th-16th February was Friendship Week at BSB, featuring various activities celebrating camaraderie. Among the highlights was Crazy Hair Day on Friday 16th February, where students showcased unconventional wigs and unique hairstyles in vibrant colours, all in support of the charity ‘Light into Europe’.
Contributions were collected, aiding the charity’s efforts to raise guide dogs for sight-impaired individuals in Romania. Thank you to all who participated and supported this charitable event!
