Primary Drama Teacher
The British School of Bucharest is looking for a full-time Primary Drama Teacher to deliver Drama lessons to students between the ages of 2 and 11 with an October start. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a genuine love of the subject and a passion for sharing this with our young learners.
The Primary Drama Teacher is responsible for leading weekly lessons, supporting year group productions and promoting the enjoyment of theatrical expression and performance across the Primary School.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to provide evidence that there are no obstacles to working with children (ie. Criminal History Report).
- Have experience in working with students in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary years.
- Have a high level of English language proficiency.
- Be willing and able to work collaboratively with colleagues to support the needs of students.
- Be sympathetic to working in a multi-cultural and international educational community.
- Have had some previous experience of working in an educational setting and organising productions and performance events.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and commitment to professional development.
- Have an outstanding record of attendance, punctuality, professionalism and organisational skills.
- Have excellent skills in behaviour management.
- Be able to commit to the post for the full academic year and potentially, beyond.
