Thomas Haysom

Maths Teacher

Thomas Haysom joined the British School of Bucharest in 2019 as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher. Having attained a first class honours degree from the University of Bath, Thomas attended the University of Exeter to complete his Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Mathematics and started his teaching career nine years ago at Torquay Boys' Grammar School, UK followed later by four years at Bryanston School, UK. He has further expressed his love for teaching during four months in Nepal, where he led teacher training seminars on Maths and English for and advised in government-supported schools, as part of the “Right4Children” NGO project. Thomas is a keen road cyclist, squash player and has completed a number of long-distance treks, including the Camino de Santiago and the Annapurna Himalayan circuit.
