Advisor to the Board & University Guidance Counsellor

Cambridge graduate Philip Walters joined the school in 2012 as Head of Secondary School and was the Headmaster of the British School of Bucharest until the end of the 2020-2021 Academic Year. Starting August 2021, he is the Head of the Advisory Committee and continues to offer University guidance to BSB students in tertiary education. While at Christ's College, Cambridge, he read Geography. Philip taught the British Curriculum for many years in a highly selective UK grammar school as Head of Department before moving into the international sphere at Harrow International School in Bangkok, Thailand. There he worked for seven years as part of the Senior Leadership Team as Head of House and Head of Sixth Form.
