Head of Faculty and Science Teacher

Chris Baker has held the position of Head of Science at the British School of Bucharest since 2016. A biology specialist, Chris read Environmental Biology at Lancaster University and then completed a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and an MA in Science Education at the Institute of Education, University of London. Following his PGCE, Chris taught British Curriculum Chemistry within a leading comprehensive school in London before moving to Vietnam to teach Biology. He then spent three years in Shanghai, teaching Biology and Environmental Science alongside working as Head of Year. As well as teaching science, Chris enjoys coaching school football teams and led one team to win the 2015 ACAMIS Cup in Beijing.
